This morning it was really misty and a fog had settled amongst the trees in the garden and in the fields behind the house.
The Snowdrops are in full bloom at the moment in the back garden around the 'Nothing Tree' and the pear tree with signs of the occassional Daffodil peeping through the surface of the soil....so...before I'd even had a cuppa I borrowed Stiggy's camera and had a saunter to the bottom of the garden to capture a few eery images of the trees and a few Snowdrop shots.
The Snowdrop photo imparticular looks much better when enlarged as the dew from the mist was still on the leaves and the heads of the flowers.
These are stunning photos - you are so clever at taking them. I can 'feel' the mist and the damp and wet. Are these all in your 'new' garden. They must have been planted years ago to have been so established.
'One misty moisty morning, When cloudy was the weather. There I met an old man clothed all in leather'.................
These are all in the garden at the back of the house Lottie...the previous owners were here 30 years and loved gardening so we have lots of bulbs and established plants luckily :0)...lol @ the rhyme lol
No we had no idea there were so many Don, it was a lovely suprise last year. We exchanged contracts last January and each month on from that the garden was forever changing with new bulbs and flowers. I love it.
snowdrops (Galanthus) are my second most favourite flower of all. Your photos show it off at its best. Did you know that one plant has just sold on an auction site for £56!!!! It was rare! xx
OMG Jo!!! I just discovered this little piece of heaven this morning!
Your photographs are BREATHTAKING.........I could almost feel as if I were there this morning. May I add you to my Photography Link? Have to rush to work, but I am coming back to see more later!
Just curious what month you were born........If you are a '64 Baby, we're the same age.......... Mine's September

Did you know there were snowdrops when you bought the place?
I may have bought it just for them.
Very nice.

have a wonderful Day.......
I've never seen snowdrops. They look like a bulb flower. The third picture with the dew drops would make a beautiful card.
Fabulous photographs! We also have a bought a house with a garden where bulbs keep popping up month after month. Great blog. Lynne x
Fabulous photos Jo! Nature gives us such inspiration for use of colour in our art! When you going to take some more photos then? Lol!
Oh wonderful photographs, I love snowdrops. Kim
